Do you want to become a Volunteer?
Volunteers play a vital role in supporting and contributing to the success of ADASA in various ways. While the specific tasks and responsibilities may vary depending on our needs, here are some common ways in which volunteers contribute to ADASA:
- Assisting with Events: Volunteers often help plan, organise, and execute events such as conferences, fundraisers, workshops, and community outreach programmes. They may be involved in tasks like event logistics, registration, and attendee assistance.
- Administrative Support: Volunteers can assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, answering phones, and handling general office duties. This support helps alleviate the workload of paid staff, allowing them to focus on more specialised tasks.
- Mentoring and Training: Experienced volunteers may provide mentorship and training to employees or other volunteers, sharing their knowledge and expertise. This can contribute to skill development and enhance the overall capabilities of the team.
- Community Engagement: Volunteers often serve as ambassadors for the company in the community, participating in outreach programmes, engaging with local residents, and promoting the organisation’s initiatives. This helps strengthen ADASA’s ties to the community.
- Specialised Skills: Many volunteers bring unique skills, such as graphic design, writing, IT, or marketing expertise, that can be valuable for specific projects. Leveraging these skills can enhance ADASA’s capabilities without the need for additional hiring.
- Supporting Nonprofit Initiatives: In the case of ADASA which is involved in corporate social responsibility or nonprofit work, volunteers may actively participate in initiatives related to community service, environmental sustainability, or charitable causes.
- Team Building: Engaging employees in volunteer activities can foster a sense of teamwork and community within the company. It provides an opportunity for team members to work together outside of their usual roles and promotes a positive company culture.
- Research and Development: Volunteers can assist in research projects, data collection, or market analysis, contributing valuable insights that aid decision-making processes within ADASA.
- Technology and IT Support: Volunteers with technical skills may provide support in maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems, websites, or other technological aspects of the company.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Volunteers often bring a sense of flexibility and adaptability to the workplace. Their willingness to take on diverse tasks and responsibilities can be beneficial, especially during busy or challenging periods.
In summary, volunteers bring a diverse set of skills, perspectives, and energies to ADASA, contributing to our growth, community engagement, and overall success. The impact of volunteers is significant, making ADASA volunteers valuable assets to our organisation.

Bequest
ADASA National Bank Details:
Making a bequest, which is a provision in your will or estate plan that designates a gift to a nonprofit company, can be a powerful way to support causes that are important to you. Here are several reasons why individuals may choose to make a bequest to a nonprofit:
- Philanthropic Legacy:
A bequest allows you to leave a lasting legacy by supporting the causes and organisations that have been significant in your life. It’s a way to continue your philanthropic efforts even after your passing. - Support for a Cause:
If there’s a particular cause or issue (e.g. persons living with dementia) that you are passionate about, making a bequest ensures that your financial support continues to benefit that cause long into the future. - Financial Impact:
Bequests can provide ADASA with substantial financial support, enabling us to fund projects, programs, and initiatives that may not be possible through regular donations. - Tax Benefits:
In many countries, bequests to nonprofits are eligible for tax benefits or deductions. This can be an incentive for individuals to include charitable gifts in their estate planning. - Recognition and Naming Opportunities:
Some nonprofits offer naming opportunities or recognition for significant contributions. Making a bequest can be a way to have a building, program, scholarship, or other elements named in your honour, contributing to your legacy. - Stewardship of Assets:
Including ADASA in your estate plan allows you to steward your assets towards a cause you believe in. It provides a structured way to distribute your wealth according to your values. - Ensuring Continuity of Programmes:
ADASA relies on a mix of funding sources to sustain our programmes. A bequest can provide financial stability, ensuring that we can continue our mission and serve the community. - Flexible Giving Options:
Bequests can be specific, general, or residual, allowing you to specify how you want your gift to be used. This flexibility allows you to tailor your contribution to the needs of the nonprofit. - Expressing Gratitude:
If you have personally benefited from the services or support of ADASA, making a bequest can be a way to express gratitude and give back to an organisation that has had a positive impact on your life. - Inspiring Others to Give:
Publicising your decision to make a bequest can inspire others in your community or network to consider similar philanthropic gestures, creating a ripple effect of giving and support for ADASA.
When considering a bequest, it’s important to consult with legal and financial professionals to ensure that your wishes are accurately reflected in your estate plan. Additionally, communicating your intentions with ADASA can help us plan for the future and express our gratitude for your commitment.
